A best paper award will be assigned by the chairmen and the co-chairmen in honor of Ermanno Grinzato, AITA co-chairman for a long time and known scientist in the thermography community.
8th Under 35 years best paper award
The award is intended to promote innovative research by young scientists on topics relevant to the conference. The award, which is reserved for main authors under the age of 35, is expected to consist of a cash prize and an official certificate. The award will be presented to the winners during a ceremony held as part of the conference.
Terms and Conditions / Eligibility for the award
Candidates for the award must meet the following requirements to participate in the competition:
- Age: the candidate must be under 35 years old (born after 6 September 1992)
- Authorship: the candidate must be the first author of the submission
- Registration: the candidate must be registered to the conference
- Participation: the candidate must be the presenting author of the submitted work (please check the speaker option during the submission process)
- Candidates who have already received awards in previous editions are not eligible to participate in the competition
Notification: When submitting their abstract, authors may indicate whether they would like to be considered for the award; Proof of age (a copy of your identity card or student card) must be submitted together with your abstract submission.
The awarded papers will be selected by the Conference Committee according to the following Selection Criteria:
- Scientific relevance
- Pertinence to the Conference Topics
- Novelty of the work
- Clarity of presentation
Evaluation procedure
An awards jury will be formed to evaluate the candidates; it generally consists of at least 3 members of the Co-Chair Committee and 3 members of the Local Organizing Committee. The decision on the awarding of the prizes will be made after the presentation of all eligible submitted works. The awards jury may decide how the awards will be presented – either based on a discussion or a vote in accordance with the four listed criteria. The awards ceremony takes place during the conference. A direct sponsorship support for the award from a sponsor is possible.
