Day 2: Conference dinner

“Saxon evening” in a historic restaurant and city tour with typical historic guides

Welcome to the Gunpowder Tower!

Originally built in 1565, the tower formed an important part of Dresden’s fortifications, and, as its name suggests, was used to store gunpowder safely in the ground – it was a pretty explosive place back then! You will find the restaurant in the historical centre of dresden in the vaulted ceilings of the Coselpalais next to Frauenkirche.
As you dine beneath the vaulted ceilings of the Marshal de Saxe Room, or the Russian or Turkish vault, you will experience a part of the history of Saxony while enjoying a truly royal saxon dining experience. 
Throughout the evening, strolling magicians will ensure nonstop merriment and diversion.

Day 3: Conference excursion

Enjoy a trip on a paddle steamer on the Elbe.

Time: Wednesday, 8 September 2027, Afternoon

Welcome aboard and ship ahoy!

After leaving the old town of Dresden, you can already see from a distance the three historic castles on the Elbe – Albrechtsberg Castle, Lingner Castle, and Eckberg Castle, were built from 1850 over 11 years on the site of a vineyard. You’ll continue upstream, passing the famous Loschwitz Bridge, known as the “Blaues Wunder,” the TV tower, and the sailors' church “Maria am Wasser.”
Meanwhile, on board the paddle steamer PD “Pillnitz,” you’ll be treated to a delicious dinner and fine drinks.
You’ll see the most famous castle, "Pillnitz Castle," after the first 2 hours of the steamboat ride. It is considered one of the most important chinoiserie-style castle complexes in Europe. In the past, the castle and park complex was the summer residence of the Saxon kings, including Elector Augustus the Strong.
Here, the paddle steamer PD "Pillnitz" turns around and brings you back to the Terrassenufer within an hour. Once you arrive, you can enjoy a unique view from the steamboat on the Elbe of the Brühl Terrace and the inviting Dresden Old Town.
