Submit your abstract by 31 January 2027!

Guidelines

  • All contributions must be submitted via the submission form at https://aita2027.dgzfp.de/
    by 31 January 2027.
  • All papers should be submitted in English. The conference language is English.
  • For each submission it can be chosen between
    - oral presentation (20 minutes) or
    - poster presentation (A0 portrait format), optionally accompanied by a slam performance
  • Each submission must be assigned to at least one relevant topics, max. 3 topics.
  • Please submit a short abstract of up to 250 words as well as
  • an extended abstract of max. 2 pages, prepared according to the template (submit as PDF file).
    • Authors eligible for the Under 35 Best Paper Award should submit a 4 page abstract.
      The award will be assigned by the chairmen and the co-chairmen in honor of Ermanno Grinzato, AITA co-chairman for a long time and known scientist in the thermography community.

  • Authors will be informed about the acceptance of their contributions in early April 2027.
  • Authors whose paper was accepted must register and pay the registration fee by
    30 April 2027 for being included in the final programme. The registration of presenting authors is binding and non-refundable.

  • Authors (including contact information)
  • short abstract of up to 250 words
  • extended abstract of 2 pages – prepared in relevant template;
    alternatively, if the Under 35 Best Paper Award applies, a 4-page abstract

 

Presentation Types

Please select your preference when submitting:

  • ORAL PRESENTATION:
    - 20 min., including discussion (15 + 5 min.)

  • POSTER:
    - DIN A0 portrait format,
    - Poster exhibition throughout the conference
    - Postersession
    optional for Poster:     
    Additional participation in the Poster Slam:
         - 2 minutes during Slam Session on Tuesday to present your research findings – concisely, to the point and in an engaging manner
    When submitting your abstract, please indicate whether you would like to take part in the Poster Slam.

Each contribution must be assigned to at least one of the seven main topics, but no more than three topics.

Publications Related to the Conference

Proceedings

  • The proceedings with the extended abstracts will be published by our media and publishing partner NDT.net in the e-Journal of Nondestructive Testing (eJNDT), ISSN 1435-4934, at the start of the conference.
  • The authors of accepted papers will be given the opportunity to update and expand the content of their abstracts prior to publication.
    All papers will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. The copyright remains with the authors.

 

 

Special Issues for Selected Contributions

  • A panel of selected experts will review all abstracts received in order to assess their suitability for inclusion in a scientific peer-review process with a view to publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
    The authors of the selected contributions will be informed with acceptance notification. 
  • Final confirmation of participation in the review process will be provided after the end of the conference. The relevant papers must have been presented at the conference.
  • A full paper must be submitted, which will undergo the reviewing process.
